Inzora Rooftop Cafe was one of the first places we visited in Kigali and now one of our favorites. They offer an awesome beginner’s kinyarwanda course with a great teacher and the whole experience is really fun.
The Cafe is inside of the Ikirezi Bookshop, across the street from The University of Kigali and behind Top Tower Hotel in Kacyiru. Go upstairs and through the bookstore, and you’ve arrived!
Owned and operated by a Canadian woman, they have awesome baked goods, coffee drinks and an amazing smoothie. They have a cucumber salad with garbanzo beans instead of the usual raw onion and mayonnaise salad that you find everywhere else. They use all local ingredients baked in store. They sell local art, handicrafts, honey and pottery. There is an amazing view of the valley and the rooftop seating is really fun!
