Last year we invested in a property on the Yamhill River to rent on Airbnb for passive income while we travel. When we bought the house we didn’t have any furniture and were saving and buying things that the house needed. In January 2022 we listed it on Airbnb and have been making small improvements ever since. We stay in our RV while it’s rented and in the house when it’s not. Now the property is a beautiful eco-friendly home that we are proud to host people in.

The house is a small, eco friendly 2021 build with central heating and great natural lighting. Both bedrooms are located upstairs with river views. The downstairs is an open floor plan with a dining room table, seating area and small kitchen.
The house is located in a neighborhood in Sheridan, a (very) small logging community in the middle of some great places to hike, go wine tasting and enjoy the Pacific Northwest. The house is only 20 minutes away from downtown McMinnville and 10 minutes away from Amity.
Things to do
There are lots of great hiking trails, foraging spots and wineries nearby. If you want to stay in, the house is right on the Yamhill River. The front windows from the dining room look out at the river where we have private access. There is a trail down to the sandy bank in the summertime and during the winter months the bank is underwater due to the higher river levels. There are lots of birds that can be seen from the porch and during the summer months we have porch hammock chairs to enjoy the view. Here are some of our favorite things to do in the area:
