Summer is finally here and we’re enjoying every minute of it! On Saturday we visited the World Beat Festival in Oregon’s capital. This multicultural festival is held every year at the Riverfront Park. Thousands of visitors come from all over Oregon to watch the parade, dragon boat races and dancing from around the world. I like the concept of this festival. Come to think of it, the earliest people communicated through drum beats. It is also through beats that music started!
