Marrakesh is so much fun! We have to put it on this list because it is where we went on our first date! They have amazing authentic Moroccan food that absolutely can’t be beat. Although it is expensive, it’s worth the price. The entire restaurant is made to look like a traditional Moroccan tent, complete with floor poufs, traditional music and belly dancers.
Le Bistor Montage is right in the heart of the Central East Side Industrial District, Montage has cajun style food, frog legs, gator bites and amazing jambalaya! The tables are long so that you share with other restaurant goers and the wait staff make tin foil sculptures around your leftovers.
Salt and Straw is not just any Ice Cream shop! It’s ranked as Food Network’s top five Ice Cream shops in the nation! They have incredibly interesting flavor combinations like: Arbequina Olive Oil, Pear and Blue Cheese, Honey Lavendar and Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper.
Mother’s Bistro is another one of our favorites because it has such a cozy atmosphere and an awesome breakfast menu. In the heart of Downtown, you can easily walk from blocks away. They’re always packed, so call ahead to make a reservation or expect to wait for a table.
