Homemade Toothpaste and Mouthwash

“Most consumers purchase toothpaste and other personal hygiene products without even bothering to read the list of ingredients, blindly trusting manufacturers to have the customers best interests at heart. It can be a costly mistake. Toothpaste contains many potentially harmful ingredients, including some that can lead to serious long-term health problems.”

Mouthwash and toothpaste alike contain all sorts of harmful chemicals that you don’t need to keep your mouth healthy. Some people’s hesitation in making natural products is that their teeth will turn yellow, but actually with a healthy mouth your teeth will stay whiter longer and some store-bought mouthwash can even stain your teeth permanently. There are endless reasons to switch from harmful chemicals to natural mouth hygiene products, here are just a few:

  1. Contains no harmful chemicals
  2. Cheaper
  3. No wasteful plastic packaging
  4. Your teeth stay whiter longer
  5. Kills the bacteria that causes bad breath instead of masking it
  6. Removes toxins from the rest of your body
  7. Fun to make
  8. Makes your whole bathroom smell good
