This week was about missions and evangelism taught by the base leader of YWAM Kampala, Serji Thomas. Serji is an Indian man who moved to Uganda four years ago to pioneer YWAM Kampala along with his wife and son. They run 4 DTS schools, a school of evangelism and a school of pioneering each year. He was a super awesome speaker and was really inspiring.
We went shopping on Monday with our friend Gamariel to buy things for outreach. With some of the leftover money I had raised from my senior project we were able to buy basic necessities for 50 new moms living in the Mahama Refugee Camp. We were able to buy newborn clothes, soap, baby lotion, washing basins and fabric. We look forward to distributing them with our class when we go to Mahama in May.
We celebrated our three-year wedding anniversary this week too! We seriously can’t believe it’s been three years already. We celebrated Rwandan style by going out for rabbit. We are so thankful for all of the ways God has blessed us and our marriage. We are so excited to see all of the amazing things he has in store for us. In just three short years we’ve moved 10 times, lived on two continents, worked 7 jobs, traveled to 5 different countries and made countless friends!
